WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits

The Level 2 Spirits course suits candidates employed in the spirits industry needing basic information on the characteristics of the principal spirits and liqueurs of the world, to provide guidance on brand selection and assist with tasting and evaluating of spirits and liqueurs. It is also perfect for any enthusiasts not employed in the drinks industry wanting to learn more about the product behind the brand. 

In the course you will cover the history, production and style of spirits of the world, it examines the influences of production methods on the different styles available in each category and you will develop analytical tasting skills while exploring the use of spirits in cocktails. 

If you work with spirits, you will be able to confidently provide guidance on the use and service of spirits and make informed recommendations to customers when selecting spirits and liqueurs to meet their taste and price requirements.

All our classes are delivered in English therefore a good level of English is beneficial.

You must be at least 18 years old to enrol on any of our courses.

The Level 2 Award in Spirits exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions

Exam must be completed in one hour.

Pass                            55% - 69%

Pass Merit                 70% - 84%

Pass Distinction:      85% and above

The exam papers are sent to WSET in London to be marked, it ensures global continuity with the results

Successful students will receive a WSET digital certificate
